Yes, he was aware. Channel 7 reporter Del Walters ran the story with the pictures and Alan tried to file suit against my mom claiming he did not give permission to use his likeness on television.
Some new information has come to light. The theory is the 3 young men who witnesses saw looking for Keith the night before his body was found are directly connected to the investigating officer at the time. My thought is that the individuals strung up his body on the tree to make it look like a hate crime or possible suicide. The investigating officer did the rest of the cover up. If Keith were shot or any apparent bodily damage done that could be seen by the naked eye... that would have resulted in a full out investigations.
